Avalon Hospice Staff are caring people – we need caring people like this
Son of a Hospice Cancer Patient
Avalon Hospice & Palliative Care was there, time and again, to alter medication when pain required it, to talk to us through the crises, to get the medical equipment that we needed. ANd although i wish that my dad were still here, I am grateful that Avalon Hospice made it possible for him to really live the time he had left, and that when the end came Dad was able to die without pain, without fear, and literally in the arms of his children.
Daughter Hospice Patient
Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to all of the staff at Avalon Hospice for your devoted and professional care of my mom, Elenore Downs, this past year. This would include the hospice receptionists, who always responded our calls kindly and expeditiously. The on-call nurses who listened to our concerns and lead us through various crisis situations. The home health care aide, Jennifer, who compassionately took care of my mom’s physical hygiene and paid close attention to her needs. The hospice nurses who visited regularly, and in emergencies, assessing the medical and mental issues that arose and addressing them in a timely manner. The social worker, Kathy, who listened attentively to my mom and her family, answered all our questions and responded efficiently to all our requests. The hospice Chaplain Nelville who faithfully ministered to my mom and dad of the most needful things. And to the head of Avalon Hospice, Tracy, who recommended to my daughter the services if his company for her grandmother
You have all participated in some way to one of the most difficult situations we can be faced with, the end of life of a loved one. There is truly no monetary value that can be placed upon the services you have rendered to my family, and you performed all these tasks with grace and kindness. We are forever grateful.
With Kindest regards.
